GOUACHE PAINTING Fine Art Classes Brisbane

Gouache is a simple and forgiving medium that is most suitable as an introduction to painting for beginners. Being water mixable there is less mess and it is easy to work in a smaller scale on paper. 

As the favourite paint of illustrators and designers, the matte properties of gouache paint makes it most photogenic if you want to turn your art and designs into printed merchandise. Gouache is also a favourite among travel journal artists painting plein air as well as studio artists for preparatory studies.

From more traditional painting approaches to contemporary stylised illustration, gouache paint's versatility makes it a great choice for beginners (basic sketching skills are required).  You will need your own materials for use in the studio and at home. TERM FEES

Our weekly 2 hour art class studio sessions run in a term block of 9 weeks in line with the Queensland school terms.

The term fee is $500  

Full payment is required to secure your term booking as places are strictly limited and it is best to book well in advance to avoid disappointment, as sessions do fill up quickly. Payment options and availability will be provided when you contact us to book. 

Unfortunately we do not offer trial classes or casual sessions - learning a new skill takes a commitment of time, consistency, patience and practice.

Important Information:  

Terms are date specific and time limited and there are no make up sessions or credits brought forward for missed classes, irrespective of reason for absence. 

Please ensure you are able to attend consistently for the duration of your class block. Please note that we do not offer ‘change of mind’ refunds should you choose to withdraw before or during the term.

We reserve the right to cancel a class due to unforeseen circumstances (eg. Severe weather event, public emergency, government health directives etc), an alternative date will be scheduled before the end of the term.
