SKETCH & DRAW Basics Youth Art Studio

Saturdays OR Sundays
12-2PM
Sketching and drawing are fundamental skills necessary for all other fine art disciplines. This term program is for absolute beginners aged 12+ who need to acquire confidence and a solid understanding of the basics.

Students will learn various spatial reasoning strategies and practical methods of application (graphite & charcoal) so as to draw accurately and confidently. The artist's eye is developed to see the necessary information of any given subject and how to translate that to paper. Exercises include drawing from life and printed reference material.

Students will require their own materials for use in the studio and at home which are only available on Amazon - links below:
*70 Piece Sketch Set
*Soft Blending Tool
*Faber Castell kneadable eraser
*A3 200gsm Sketchbook
TERM FEES
Term programs run for 9 weeks during Qld state school terms.
The term fee is $500, payable in full at time of booking in order to secure your space. Advance booking is required as places are strictly limited and fill quickly.
Please note that returning students are invited to re-enrol before spaces are opened for new students on the waitlist. Returning student places must kindly be paid for in full by the due date on the invoice, unfortunately failure to do so will see your child’s place offered to new students.
Parents are welcome to enrol with their child for the Youth Studio programs and we also encourage you to arrive early when collecting, from time to time, so as to provide you with a progress update. We are committed to your child’s success and open, regular communication ensures this.
